We’re sorry you can’t attend. Please send an email immediately to James Morrow at jlmorrow@co.pg.md.us.

May I transfer my registration if I am unable to attend the conference?

No, please cancel with James and have anyone who is interested in attending register through our Eventbrite site: http://tinyurl.com/CERTCON2017

May children attend the conference?

Since Saturday consists mostly of seminars, we recommend that attendees be mature and not disruptive of the speakers and their presentations. However we want to involve our mature Teen CERT audience in the education provided, therefore have set the age minimum to 12 and above for Saturday.

For Sunday, we welcome family members of all ages to attend. We will have hands-on activities for children ages seven (7) and above. We plan to have vehicle displays and other equipment that might interest younger, well-behaved children. However, constant parental supervision is a MUST!

How do I decide what sessions and workshops to attend?

You may attend any sessions or workshops of your choice in any track. We ask that once you choose a session, please minimize any disruptions by staying in the class. We hope to be able to video some of our more popular tracks for later viewing on the website.

Will I receive certifications for any classes?

Many certifications require four hours or more. Due to time restrictions and the varied amount of interests in subject matter, we only offer one hour seminars or less to give you an overview of each topic. Please contact your local CERT leader or Office of Emergency Management to learn about trainings with certification. FEMA and your local state emergency management office will also have information on trainings.

Do I have to bring food to CERT CON?

Yes, if you have a specialty diet. We will provide refrigeration if necessary. Otherwise we will provide a continental breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks during CERT CON.

Will there be Internet availability at the venue? Yes! There will be internet access at Charles Herbert Flowers High School. The password and our hashtag #CERTCON will be on signs scattered throughout the building. We expect you to be posting photos of your experience and any golden nuggets of emergency management wisdom on social media.

Where should I park? Free parking is available at the Charles Herbert Flowers High School.

In what ways can I help?
